Professional Certified Coach

Coach Education & Mentoring

As a PCC (Professional Certified Coach) with the internationally recognized ICF (International Coaching Federation) I am committed to providing the highest quality coaching services available, under the largest regulatory body in the coaching industry whose members adhere to a clear Code of Ethics.

In addition, I support the education of future coaches through educational programs accredited through ICF, the gold standard in Coach Certification.

My Work at Concordia

A faculty member in Concordia University’s Professional Goal Centric Coaching Program, I develop curriculum, teach, and provide mentoring to emerging coaches. As a graduate of Concordia’s Professional and Personal Coaching Certificate Program as well as the Journey to Mastery Program, I bring over 20 years of teaching and facilitation skills to the development of emerging coaches. The PGCC Program at Concordia focuses on experiential learning and “in the moment” feedback, and I’m passionate about mentoring student coaches as they study, and emerging coaches as they begin their coaching careers. My expertise in coach education and coach mentoring supports a high level of professionalism in new coaches and in the field of coaching.

Mentoring Student Coaches

Students in ICF accredited coaching programs are required to engage with a Mentor Coach who reviews practicum coaching sessions and provides feedback about demonstration of the ICF Coaching Competencies.

As an ICF mentor, I support the development of professional coaches through 1:1 mentoring. My thorough and in-depth knowledge of these competencies allows me to provide direct, concrete feedback to student coaches about how to improve their coaching skills prior to seeking accreditation with the ICF.

Mentoring Emerging Coaches

Recent graduates of ICF accredited programs often seek the mentorship of experienced PCC coaches in the early phases of their careers.

Mentoring of less experienced coaches may involve business development planning, finding a coaching niche, co-designing strategies for building a client base or navigating ethical dilemmas.

As a mentor coach, I collaborate with newer coaches to build confidence and professionalism in their growing coaching careers, and contribute to the growing professionalism of the coaching community.

Nicki is an incredible coach and mentor. She has a unique ability to partner with you in sessions and create a space where you discover parts of yourself you never knew existed. You explore, embrace, and celebrate them. During each session, she masterfully gathers your thoughts, reflects them back, and connects everything in a seamless way, leaving you with powerful insights or clear actions for what’s next. My life and coaching practice have transformed through Nicki’s partnership. I highly recommend her again and again.

As a coach mentor, Nicki has an approach to feedback that is both warm and supportive as well as direct and constructive. Using a coaching approach combined with very astute observations, Nicki helped me reflect on my coaching practice and grow as a coach. I'm incredibly grateful for Nicki's mentorship.

Nicki's guidance as a mentor coach was key to my learning in the Professional Goal Centric Coach Certification program. Her ability to highlight the positive in a concrete manner, to offer encouragement, and to know when I was ready to be nudged to the next, deeper, level was foundational. Nicki is empathetic while being direct in her feedback, allowing me to gain confidence in my existing skills, and to go beyond what I thought that I was capable of achieving as a student-coach.
